The outcomes of local, state, and federal elections shape every aspect of our lives, yet millions of Americans face barriers to the ballot. These obstacles disproportionately impact young voters, communities of color, rural voters, low-income communities, voters with disabilities, and seniors.
Fair and equal representation means every voice must be heard; and that creates stronger, more empowered communities.
Laws in 48 U.S. states and D.C. ban people with felony convictions from voting. 4 million Americans were ineligible to vote due to these laws in 2024.

We promote policies that expand voter access and eliminate barriers to the ballot. And we partner with NBA teams and non-partisan civic engagement organizations to increase voter participation across NBA communities.
